Skipton Town Hall is a Grade II listed Victorian building designed in the Classical style and built in 1862. The Town Hall acts as a hub for culture and heritage in the Craven district and we were delighted to have been a part of its restoration.
Works included:
- Erection of scaffolding
- Superheated steam clean of the façade
- Descaling friable stone and redressing adjacent stone at low and high levels
- Repointing of the façade
- Stone repairs using repair mortar
- Stone indents
- Replacement of timber ceiling in the portico
- Reinstatement of lime plaster in the portico
- Installation of new pendant lights in the portico
- Window redecoration
