Located in the historic Birkenhead docks, East Float Quay comprises Grade II listed former grain warehouses which were constructed in the 1850s. They now sit at the heart of the Northbank neighbourhood at Wirral Waters. Quadriga acted a Principal Contractor on this project which involved various restoration and stabilsation works.
Works included:
- Erection of scaffolding to perimeter of building.
- Removal of the top courses of brickwork before rebuilding a brickwork course on top.
- Introduction of new coping stones along the sky face of the parapet.
- Rake out and re-pointing parapets.
- Individual replacement of bricks to match the original.
- Helifix repairs.
- Removal and reinstatement of lightning conductor strip.
